Special Pioneer Couple Living at a Kingdom Hall In Miami FL, get the dreaded Letter
by James Jack injust got a phone call from an older sister saying that a couple that got re-assigned from bethel 4 years ago to live at their kh apartment as special pioneers, just received a letter saying "as of january 2016, your special pioneer assignment will be discontinued".. they live in a south miami kh(snapper creek congregation).. this couple had only served in bethel for 15 years before they were sent out into the special pioneer work.
they are now in their mid 50's and the sister said that they have to find part time jobs to support themselves.. the older sister (does not have a pc or internet), says that the couple are just devastated!

And that is where the mind gives in and cognitive dissonance sets in to find a solution.
Example 1:
Gods name is Jehovah / Gods name is not Jehovah
I think almost all JWs really know that Gods name is not Jehovah, but they have to use Jehovah as Gods name, but Gods name is not Jehovah, yes but use Jehovah for Gods name, OK Jehovah is God, but Jehovah is not Gods name, yes but ....
Example 2:
We freely preach out of love to Jehovah and our fellow man/if you do not preach you are blood-guilty and will die at the big A
I freely go in service because I love Jehovah and me fellow man, good that you go, because if you did not go you would be blood-guilty and and Jehovah would demand their blood from you, so you die at the big A.
Example 3:
Anybody help here ...

Headline: "Islamic Invasion: Europe now scrambles for guns." How true is this?
by cappytan ina year to a year and a half ago, i would have taken this article at face value and believed it.. now, i realize this article comes from a dubious source.
world news daily has a die-hard right-wing bias.
so, in an effort to get real information, i'm asking my european exjw's, is this article all true?

In Germany they do make a definition, people coming from certain countries are classed as "economic migrants", such as Balkan states, and as such are deported back to where they come from. This has however not been effectively enforced in the past, and although they should be deported many are not and are "tolerated".
A clampdown is supposed to happen on this, but personally have no way of checking if this takes place. Also the actual time taken to process the actual "Asylum Application" is being accelerated so that the "economic migrants" can be deported sooner.
There are reports in the press that some "economic migrants" just say that they are refugees from Syria which is a guarantee for "Asylum" (if they are really from Syria). To counter this, after finding out where they come from they are shown pictures of monuments/buildings that they should know if they really are from Syria, and they need to correctly identify these monuments/buildings. There is another problem that the authorities are having, apparently non-Syrians have Syrian identification documents that have apparently been issued by the Syrian authorities, so they are not forged, but are not genuine either. So it is not easy for the authorities.

Just across the road from where I live there is accommodation for refugees, the only commotion I have seen so far is when a group of about 8 Jehovah's Witnesses tried to enter the accommodation, but there are strict rules on who can enter and who cannot.
This is the view I have so far about the refugees, they are a group of sad, downtrodden and abused human beings, who had no choice but to flee the war in their own land. The millions of refugees in the world today, never asked to be born and never asked to be refugees.
Another thing, I was on the flea market this morning and there was a group of what to me were refugees, one man in his twenties with two adult females and three children. I can only guess at their family relationship. They looked very sad indeed. -

On respect for the belief of others. Sorry for the long post
by StarTrekAngel ini am inclined to start this thread in response to some comments made in other threads.
i have been coming around these forum for quite some time now so whatever you find in here is not just related to something someone may have said this week.
it can go months back as well.. i have seen many who claim to respect the belief of others but when it comes down to applying it into practice, things take a whole different tune.

I appreciate you thorough research and reporting on this site, I wish I had the time to do that but I do not. I enjoy reading your comments and how you point out the inaccuracies in what others report, keep it up.

A private place should be designated for use outside the camp, and there is where you should go. 13 A peg should be part of your equipment. When you squat outside, you should dig a hole with it and then cover your excrement.

The Society recently bought a 1.6 million dollar house here in Wales for translators
This is something that amazes me, they could employ someone part time about 25 hours a week, and they would have the capacity to translate all the BS the bOrg produces. Naturally one translator per language, what would they need to pay them? No more than $ 2500.00 a month and the person could then also regular pioneer. So obviously the purchasing of these properties around the world have absolutely nothing to do with translations.
